California Halos Baseball (Formerly The SoCal Halos) was formed in 2011. The purpose was to get youth and high school baseball players the opportunity to get to the highest level possible, whether that was getting a college scholarship or in some cases, get drafted into the Major League Baseball. The Halos were built on getting their players coached by some of the best baseball coaches around. The original staff of Jimmy Walker, Charles Merricks, Matt Merricks and Casey Cloud brought professional experience as well as College Division 1 experience to help teach our young players what it takes to get to the next level. Over the years former Halos have joined the coaching staff and used their experiences as a former Halo and playing at a higher level to help train the new generation of Halos.
